What's in the pantry?

I'm working the 31 Days To Build a Better Blog, and today's task was to write a "list post." The first thing I thought of was....my pantry. What else?

Seriously, what follow is a list of the shelf stable foods I store. This is what I base my meal planning from. We do have some items in the freezer, but this is really where I look when I think about planning my meals. I chose to exclude flavorings such and herbs, spices, and condiments. I did leave in garlic and onion, as we seem to use an awful lot of those items.

  1. Hello Sandra! That's a lot of items to use and prepare from your pantry! Maybe you can give some recipes as to how you use these items. Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!

  2. Happy to! Actually, most of the recipes I post are made from stored foods. But, I'm thinking that it might help to show some recipes where I use ingredients that maybe people don't commonly use (like the freeze-dried mango -- I went to make breakfast today and I was out -- eek!), or perhaps, to explain why and how I use (and therefore, store) certain foods rather than their more mainstream equivalent. What do you think?
